Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Economics, Master of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degrees and admitted to practice law in Victoria in February 2002.
A former professional performer who appeared in the original Melbourne cast of ‘Cats’ (different for a lawyer I know) I have also worked as a program executive for the Arts Victoria, a political adviser to the Office of the Leader of the Opposition (Victoria), an executive search consultant to some of the world’s leading international search firms and a commercial, IP & MAE (media, arts & entertainment) lawyer.
I commenced my legal career in a prestigious boutique commercial firm where we advised a number of high profile individuals (think Kylie Minogue, well her manager at least) as well as a number of very successful business clients and some of Australia's leading commercial theatrical producers.
I have also has acted for both private and publicly listed companies in a range of commercial and corporate matters including corporate structuring, IP protection, terms & conditions drafting, commercial litigation/dispute resolution and the development of commercialisation of intellectual property.
In addition to legal work, I am a regular presenter, facilitator and professional speaker, and have presented to leading industry organizations on the new Australian Consumer Law plus intellectual property protection covering trademarks, copyright and brand protection. I am regularly invited to speak at a number of industry seminars and conferences, which can be fun as well as educational.
